MATH - PLACE VALUE ICE CREAM

AGE: 6+ years

PACK INCLUDES:

• 9 yellow ice cream scoops of value 100.
• 9 purple ice cream scoops of value 10.
• 10 red cherries of value 0 to 9.
• 7 cup cards with 2 and 3 digit numbers on them.
• 1 large ice cream cup and a dry erase pen.

HOW TO PLAY:

• The child needs to identify the number and add ice cream scoops of 100's value, ice cream scoops of 10's value and cherries of units value. For eg: For 324, the child adds 3 ice cream scoops of 100, 2 ice cream scoops of 10 and 4 cherries.
• An adult can write any number on the empty ice cream cup and the child needs to complete the activity by adding the scoops and cherries.

GAME EXTENSIONS:

• The game can be played in another way, an adult can place the ice cream scoops and cherries on the large ice cream cup.
  
• The child needs to count and identify the number and write it on the large ice cream cup.
